The roof is only as sound
as what holds it up.
Most cover failures start below the roofline — in framing that was never sized to carry the extra weight. We evaluate the structure's capacity before anything goes up, then reinforce or upgrade the framing where the design calls for it, so the cover is supported for the long run rather than propped for the season.

Our framing standard is KDAT — pressure-treated through the whole board, dimensionally stable, and quick to hold fasteners — so the structure stays true instead of twisting as the seasons turn. Where a design calls for a longer clear span or a particular look, we upgrade to non-wood framing such as steel or Owens Corning® Structural Lumber — often combined — with TimberTech Aluminum Framing as a premium option.
The details are deliberate. Connection points, drainage, flashing, and transitions are drawn to manage water and keep a clean, finished appearance — the parts you don't notice are exactly the parts that keep the space dry and the lines quiet.

Rooflines, post placement, and sightlines are coordinated up front so the cover shelters the space without boxing it in or blocking the view. When a cover is added to an existing deck or patio, we evaluate the conditions carefully and find the best approach — reinforcing what needs it — without unnecessary disruption to what's already there.
A cover also opens up the room beneath it. Paired with an under-deck ceiling and water diversion, the space below becomes dry and usable; add low-voltage lighting and it stays inviting after dark.
