Deck lighting.Subtle by design.

Good deck lighting doesn't announce itself. It gives you the right amount of light, in the right places — so you can use the space after dark without ever noticing the fixtures.

Purposeful illumination, without excess.

Subtle by design

Lighting is a system, not an afterthought.

We approach deck lighting as a functional system rather than a decorative afterthought.

The goal is the right amount of light, in the right places — without drawing attention to the fixtures themselves. Enough to read the stairs, a soft glow along the rail, enough to gather by after dark. Planned early, lighting supports the space instead of competing with it.

A refined, low-voltage approach

Low-voltage LED, outdoor-rated.

We build with low-voltage LED systems chosen for outdoor durability and a warm, consistent light. Low-voltage is safer to run, energy-efficient, and reliable over years of weather — no harsh glare, no maintenance-heavy fixtures.

From there, placement is everything. Each light is positioned to do a job — mark a step, wash a surface, lift the edge of the deck — without ever becoming the thing you look at.

Where lighting is used

Three placements, one quiet effect.

Each placement is chosen for how it supports safety and the feel of the space after dark — never for decoration's sake.

Riser and step lighting on a finished LeBlanc deck

Riser & step lighting

Defines elevation changes. Recessed into risers and steps so you read the stairs clearly at night — the most important safety light on any deck.

Flush-mounted deck-surface light

Flush-mounted deck lights

Subtle wayfinding. Set flush into the deck surface for a low, even glow that guides movement without glare or clutter.

Post-cap & railing lighting

Ambient and balanced. Soft light at the rail line lifts the edge of the deck and brings visual balance to the whole space.

The lines we've chosen — and why

Proven low-voltage systems, chosen for finish.

We standardize on low-voltage outdoor lighting lines with a track record for reliability and finish quality, so the light looks right the first evening and years later. Manufacturer names live here so the credibility flows to the build, not the box.

  • In-Lite — low-voltage outdoor lighting, chosen for reliability and finish.
  • TruScapes — low-voltage LED landscape & deck lighting.

See how it all comes together. The materials we've chosen

Built for the environment

Made for weather, humidity,
and years of evening use.

Deck lighting lives outdoors. Ours is low-voltage, outdoor-rated, and energy-efficient — sealed against moisture and built to stay reliable season after season, with warm, even light that doesn't fade or flicker over time.

Part of the LeBlanc Deck System

Lighting is planned during the build — not bolted on after.

Wiring paths, fixture placement, and switching are coordinated during design and framing — planned early so there's no exposed hardware and nothing surface-mounted as an afterthought. It's engineered alongside the footings, KDAT framing, and mineral-based decking — the complete build that earns our transferable 3-Year Workmanship Warranty. (Added to an existing deck, it's installed carefully to preserve the finished appearance.)

The result is lighting that feels intentional — proportionate to the space, aligned with the deck, and quietly doing its job.

When deck lighting makes sense

Right for homeowners who use the space after dark.

01

Evening use, not floodlights

You want to enjoy the deck after sunset — with warmth and restraint, not a wall of glare.

02

Safety and wayfinding

You want the stairs and edges clearly readable at night, without having to think about it.

03

Low-maintenance and efficient

You'd rather set it once — low-voltage LED that sips energy and keeps working.

04

A finished, uncluttered look

You want the light, not the hardware — fixtures that disappear into the design.

When done correctly, deck lighting should feel effortless. You notice the space, not the source of the light. That's the standard we build to.

Trusted by homeowners across East Tennessee

It should feel effortless.
