Mechanical Footings
Custom decks and outdoor structures designed, engineered, and built to perform long after installation.
Advanced Foundation Systems
Performance begins below the surface
A deck is only as good as what it’s built on. While many decks rely on traditional poured concrete, we use mechanical footings to create a stronger, more reliable foundation from day one.
Mechanical footings are mechanically driven deep into stable soil, providing immediate load-bearing support and long-term structural consistency without relying on concrete curing or surface conditions.
Why mechanical footings
This foundation approach allows us to build with confidence and stand behind our work.
Faster installation
Stronger, more stable foundation
Long-term structural consistency
Cleaner installation with less site disruption
Posts remain elevated and protected from ground moisture
Aligns with our long-term building philosophy
No open holes.
No inspection delays.
No concrete curing time.
A cleaner, more predictable process
Mechanical footings eliminate many of the variables associated with poured concrete. There are no open holes, no waiting for concrete to cure, and no dependency on surface conditions.
This results in a more controlled installation process and a foundation that performs consistently over time.
Integrated with our build standards
Mechanical footings are fully compatible with our framing, decking, and railing standards. When site conditions allow, they are implemented as part of a complete structural system rather than as a standalone upgrade.
Foundation selection is guided by performance, soil conditions, and long-term durability.
A note on application
While mechanical footings are not appropriate for every site, they are our preferred foundation system when conditions allow. The appropriate foundation solution is determined during consultation and site evaluation.
