For more than twenty years, LeBlanc Decks has done a single job: engineer and build outdoor structures to one uncompromising standard. Not a general contractor who also does decks — a specialist who does nothing else. That focus is the whole story, and it's why the work holds up.
From a passion for decks to a standard that traveled the country.
The history is the proof. Here's how a landscape designer in Bend, Oregon became a nationally recognized deck builder in East Tennessee — without ever changing what he believed about how a deck should be built.
Trained in landscape design — then found the work that mattered.
Rian LeBlanc earned professional training in landscape design and technologies, and started out in landscaping. Along the way he developed a real passion for one part of the job above all others: decks. He made a deliberate decision — to specialize exclusively in decking rather than build a little of everything.
LeBlanc Decks is born.
Rian founded LeBlanc Decks in Bend, Oregon, on the idea that a company doing one thing — done carefully, every time — would outbuild anyone splitting their attention. The specialty focus was the strategy from day one.
Central Oregon's premier deck builder.
LeBlanc grew into Central Oregon's premier deck-building company — a Deckorators dealer that operated the region's only dedicated decking showroom, a place homeowners could walk in and see, touch, and compare materials before deciding. Specializing didn't limit the business. It defined it.
Recognized on a national stage.
The work earned national attention: in 2022 LeBlanc ranked as the 11th-largest Deckorators supplier in the nation — a factual measure of how much premium decking was going into LeBlanc-built projects.
A move across the country — with the standard intact.
Severe labor shortages in Oregon prompted a relocation to East Tennessee in 2022. What moved wasn't just a business name. The same standards, the same systems, and the same specialist focus came with it — now serving Knoxville and the surrounding region.
The standard traveled 2,000 miles intact.
A company can relocate and lose itself in the move. LeBlanc didn't. The LeBlanc Build Standard — the way every structure is engineered and every project is run — arrived in East Tennessee exactly as it left Oregon.
Underneath it all is one belief that hasn't changed in twenty years: the deck is the product; the experience is our reputation. A beautiful deck is the minimum. How you're treated getting there is what people actually remember, and it's what we protect most carefully.
