What makes leBlanc Decks different?

While others can build you a deck, only we can provide you with a LeBlanc Deck

12 Practices That Set Us apart

HELICAL DECK FOOTINGS
Your deck's footings are the most important part of your deck, yet it's the area we see shortcut the most. Helical pile footings are earth screws that are mechanically driven into the ground at least 6’ deep, and that are used to replace poured concrete footings. They are faster to install, stronger, removable, and don't require time to cure.

DECKORATORS DECKING
Due to its patented mineral-based technology, Deckorators decking boards vasty outperform the traditional and outdated wood/plastic decking offered by Trex, TimberTech, Fiberon, and others.

SEAMLESS
When you glance down at a LeBlanc Deck you'll never see numerous butt seams randomly located across the decking surface. Instead, we install attractive divider boards that are used to separate the deck's surface into seamless sections.

STEEL FRAMING
Steel deck framing is a standard option that we offer to any interested customer. The benefits of owning a steel framed deck are numerous. Steel framing offers an attractive powder-coated deck frame that has a 25-year warranty, is uber strong and flat, and impervious to rot, sag, splitting, twisting, shrinking, and insect damage.

HIDDEN FASTENERS
Not only are the boards on every composite deck we build installed using hidden fasteners, but we use better fasteners too. The quality hidden fasteners made by CAMO are stainless steel compared to the plastic ones sold by the competition. These fasteners are faster to install, and come with a 25-year warranty.

METAL BRACKETS
A high percentage of East Tennessee decks are built without use of the proper brackets. As required by code we, however, always assure proper framing connections by using the appropriate hardware and brackets. Additionally, we will often install these brackets with special screws (not nails) that are specifically engineered for use with these brackets.

#1 RATED LUMBER
For decks being built with wooden framing we use #1 rated lumber. The quality of lumber used in the construction of the frame always has a direct and lasting impact on how good the finished deck surface will look. It's for this reason that we will only use #1 rated high-quality lumber in the construction of our decks.

DECK FASCIA
Deck facias are the boards installed on the exposed side edges of a deck and are something the majority of deck builders in Knoxville do not usually include with their builds. Trimming out your deck with fascia helps make the deck appear complete and professional. Unless a customer specifically requests otherwise, our composite decks will always include deck fascias.

BEAM SUPPORT
Many local decks are built without the use of beams, something that is not ideal for the integrity or longevity of a deck. To ensure proper structural strength and to help prevent future sag we always build with beams, and in most cases, drop beams.

JOIST TAPE
To help prevent against premature frame rot, we install G-Tape anywhere two or more framing components are installed side-by-side. G-Tape is a unique acrylic based tape specifically engineered for application across the top of joists.

STAIR RISERS
Stair risers are the vertical boards located above and below each stair step. Like deck fascia, the inclusion of stair risers help a deck look complete and trimmed out. Unless a customer specifically requests otherwise, our composite decks will always include stair risers.

REINFORCED
We don’t settle for nailing a deck frame together. All key points on a wooden frame are reinforced with 5/16” sturcutral screws.
