Our Preferred Decking
20-years exclusively spent specializing in deck construction has enabled LeBlanc Decks to be considered an elite level “installation professional” for virtually every major brand of composite decking available. The years spent installing numerous brands helped us understand what we like and do not like about each manufacturer and their products. With much trial and error, and after going back to past projects years later to review how they held up over time, it is by a wide margin that Deckorators’ mineral-based products have continually outperformed every other brand of decking that we’ve tested and installed. Deckorators’ products have also provided us with the best long-term customer feedback from people who have owned their decks for longer than two years. This is why the majority of the elite deck-building companies across North America are faithful to Deckorators’ patented mineral-based composite (MBC) technology; their products have revolutionized the modern decking industry.

what makes Deckorators different?
Most composite decking sold today falls under the category of wood-plastic composite decking, which are composite deck boards made from a 50/50 mixture of wood fibers and plastics that are combined with a protective polymer-based outer shell; Trex, Timbertech and Fiberon are all examples of wood-plastic decking brands. Wood-plastic decking boards definitely offer an advantage over traditional natural wood decking due to their lack of needed maintenance, but they do have other shortcomings. For example, wood-plastics can be weak and brittle, they are notorious for becoming unbearably hot in direct sunlight and are difficult to keep pinned in place due to thermal expansion combined with their heavy weight. Wood-plastics also experience end-swell in wet environments, are usually slippery, and have less attractive warranties.
Deckorators’ unique mineral-based composite (MBC) technology , however, provides the industry with a lineup of decking boards that do not share the same problems as wood-plastic deck boards. Deckorators’ patented MBC uses a limestone-based technology that contains zero wood fibers. Compared to the outdated wood-plastic technology that most contractors install, Deckorators’ MBC remains cooler to the touch, weighs about 35% less, offers mind-blowing traction, has no thermal expansion, is rated for ground and water submersion, is specifically engineered for strength and durability, and is backed by the industry’s best warranty.
Our 20+ years of deck building experience have proven that wood-plastic products regularly fail to meet the long-term expectations of homeowners, which is the primary reason we avoid using them today. At LeBlanc Decks, we exclusively offer mineral-based lineups because we want you to love your deck for life!
